And the only instances they control are lemmy.ml and the openly tankie lemmygrad.ml, all the others are completely independent of them. So the other lemmy instances should be fine.
(Not gonna lie tho, that was definitely one of the factors that led me to chose kbin over lemmy personally.)
Indeed, though I think the main reason I've been gravitating toward kbin more of late is that I like the interface more. And just generally, I like the notion that an open protocol should have at least two major independent clients implementing it - it forces them to "stay honest."
It's only been a week or so and I'm already seeing much less of a "tankie flavour" to the comments and content I've been reading. The dilution process is going well.
