Indie-Palooza 2023! A hundred new homebrew titles showcased for over a dozen game consoles!

We're talking thirty minutes of brand new, fan-designed video games. Sure hope you've got the attention span to sit through it all, because there are some can't miss indie titles included! Thanks to Matt Hughson for posting this footage... I try to keep up with the retro console homebrew scene, but I had no idea half these games even existed!

Some especially promising games featured in this video include Former Dawn (a gorgeously drawn and animated RPG for the NES), Malasombra (a tantalizing action-adventure title, also for the NES), and Banana Bash (a frantic, pastel-colored puzzler for... surprise! The NES). Homebrew titles for the Sega Genesis, Game Boy Color, Super NES, and the Nintendo 64 are included.

(Wait, the Nintendo 64? There's a fan-created development kit for the Nintendo 64?)

This is still early, so the rules aren't finalized, and are subject to expand and change when the situation demands it.

Don't be a jerk. That should give you a pretty good idea of how to behave, but in case you need specifics, treat other users respectfully, and avoid being racist/sexist/homophobic/transphobic. Moderate snark is fine, but try not to make things personal.
Sharing homebrew games is very much encouraged, but don't provide links to officially released software still protected by copyright. Homebrew games based on existing IP is fine, and ROMs released to the public domain or available with a free use license are fine.
No porn, no illegal content.
Trades and sales are not banned, but this magazine and its owner cannot be held liable for transactions gone wrong. This isn't the place for that... have you considered Cheap Ass Gamer instead?
Discussion of older game systems (2013 and before) and classic games for recent consoles is preferred. Right now, that dividing line is set at the Xbox One, which was recently discontinued by Microsoft.
