Elevator7009,

No, it usually doesn’t appeal to me. The 2D men are attractive, but to me the 3D figures are not nearly as charming. I also tend to have aggressively conventional decor tastes and a very specific fashion sense which rules out a lot of things like posters and keychains.

The fastest way to get me is to have some plot-significant, good-looking piece of jewelry. Sell it as merch. I’ll probably buy it. Or selling the outfits the characters wear, if I like it. My fashion is somewhat influenced by what I see on fictional characters and I’ve outright bought clothes because they look like something a well-dressed fictional character wore. Also, for this to be “stealth mode”—it’s not clearly from something. For example, if I were a Zelda fan I wouldn’t really vibe with a T-shirt with Link’s face on it, but I wouldn’t mind wearing a dainty little Triforce necklace.

I agree with the conventional decor ruling out a lot of the merch. For me, the problem with keychains isn't that it clashes with my fashion. (my wallet is star wars themed, so fandom keychains fit right in), the problem is that I don't like the change out keychains very often. I need something where my favorite character doesn't change to often.

I'm a sucker for thing "from something" as well, I usually think of food not clothing though.
