I'm going to be on vacation for the next week. I'm visiting family and want to spend as much time present with them as possible. So don't expect any posts from me until next Sunday. I'll still check on the magazine at least once a day so if any spam gets posted I should be able to remove relatively quickly.
I agree with the conventional decor ruling out a lot of the merch. For me, the problem with keychains isn't that it clashes with my fashion. (my wallet is star wars themed, so fandom keychains fit right in), the problem is that I don't like the change out keychains very often. I need something where my favorite character doesn't change to often.
I'm a sucker for thing "from something" as well, I usually think of food not clothing though.
They aren’t related other than being released on the same day. They are tonal opposites so people are having fun combining them as an unusual double feature.
Admittedly, I’m going to watch one on saturday and the other on sunday because I don’t really want to spend 5 hours at the theater in one day.
A user contacted me and asked me to post these. It's a google drive containing English patched versions of Tokimeki Memorial 1, 2, and 3 for the DS. As well has a patching guide and the patch files themselves.
This is probably a good time for me to lay out a piracy policy:
If the game does not have a legitimate English version and it's older than 5 years, direct piracy links are allowed.
If a game did have a legitimate English version but is on a system that is no longer supported, that specific version is ok to post. For example, Hakuoki on the 3DS is allowed because the eshop is closed, but Hakuoki on the Vita isn't because the Vita store is still running.
I personally think that piracy makes it more difficult for creators to be fairly paid, but also that it is necessary for game preservation under current copyright laws.
trademarks are good for 10 years and looking at some of twitters trademarks it seems the renewed them in 2019. So yes, in 2029, if X hasn't reverted to being called twitter then their trademarks will be unprotected.
That would be fun. Otome is currently a niche genre that doesn't have a lot of money behind it, which I think is why we get mostly visual novels. but I don't see why it shouldn't. Are you picturing a Zelda-esque game that combines fighting mechanics and romance, or something with unique gameplay mechanics?
Two scenarios came to mind immediately. 1. Merpeople. The MC is mermaid and LI's are all mermen, no need to turn it into a "the little mermaid" thing and bring in human LI's. Bonus, all the LI's are shirtless all the time. 2. A Coven. The MC is part of a longstanding coven and has grown up as a witch. Dating presents a dilemma because she can't let her potential partners know she's a witch until she can trust them, but it's hard to date someone when you're hiding being a witch.
Sounds like it would be amazing if done well. I really like otome games with deep plots beyond the romance. That's why I enjoyed cafe enchante despite the poor translation. I do enjoy a slice of life once in while too though.
It just hits different when it's late. Or alternatively, I start reading with the intention of staying up for a normal amount of time and then I get sucked in.
As Twitter ditches its iconic branding in favor of owner Elon Musk's favorite letter "X," its open source competitor Mastodon is once again seeing usage numbers soar.
Uh, the first one. It's all downhill after that. It's the only one he's ever pulled off. Look at the goals for the master plan part 2 and you'll see that they haven't managed to do a single one, but Elon still went ahead a published a part 3. Why actually meet goals when you can just pretend you've met them by posting new ones, I guess.
Learning to drive. I've met a few people who didn't learn to drive until their late 20's or 30's and there always seems to be some awkwardness to their driving. On the opposite side, learning to drive at 16 seems to encourage reckless habits to form, people I've known who waited until 18 have much better driving habits on average.
I'm curious about the demographic makeup of Kbin. As we are still in it's infancy I feel that most lean towards a certain way, so I made this survey just now to find out. I encourage you to join in, and you can skip any and every question if you so choose. You can view the results at the bottom of the page.
Yep, though the single option is often written as single/never married so that it's more clear. We don't have common law marriages (except a few states) so those 4 categories cover every situation, though without much detail.
I don't think so? I'm struggling to think of how it would enhance human rights. Isn't it the same as regular marriage without the trip to the local court? I always thought other countries had it as a penalty so that couples couldn't use cohabitating but not getting married as a tax loophole.
I'm going on vacation (I'll be back Aug 13th)
