@grivettcarnac I’m 70 and still pretty healthy but I’m finding it harder to make it across some intersections in the time allotted. And that’s on clean streets - not in the snow. They’re contributing to the isolation of seniors. And btw, broken hips cost the health system major $$$
@grivettcarnac@johnefrancis I can't stand seat warmers in cars because I end up feeling like I'm sitting in warm pee. This is, no doubt, a side effect of having had babies/toddlers so I'm pretty sure a heated bike seat would feel especially uncomfortable to me 😝
@grivettcarnac I hate them so much. The only time I think they're justified is when pushing them gives a pedestrian scramble. That's it. The intersection nearest me has recently stopped having any of the indicator lights on the old-fashioned black pushbutton work. So you're desperately hoping the pedestrian light will change as you repeatedly push the button.
The city won't fix any infrastructure proactively and they are very strict on project limits.
They are absolutely doing "the least they can do".
Since they might have to fix it if they know about it, we absolutely have to report every single thing. It sucks that we keep voting for crappy mayors who are only there to grift the city.
