Had to go to the vet

Poor Echo is still not herself. sleeps on me a good part of the day, not singing or talking much. So I took her to the vet on Thursday where she got fluids and they tried to take blood for a panel. She flinched and they had to abort the procedure until the hematoma heals. Budgies have so little blood and they have to tap the jugular vein to get a sample. I was able to get a poop sample while we were there so I didn't have to make a second trip.

She's been a bit better since getting the fluids. I guess we'll see if there's still yeast when the poop sample gets processed. Or it could be the amphotericin B harmed her organs. Or it could be something else entirely different. It's so hard to tell with these little birds what's wrong with them.

She's been talking a lot more, playing some, eating better, and pooping better since getting the fluids. I really hope that's all she needed but only time will tell. She's such a precious little creature. she deserves health and happiness. She's sleeping on my neck again right now, worn out from heightened activity earlier today, but she's talking in her sleep, which she hadn't been doing.

Poor critter, I wish I could tell her why I keep driving her to the place they stick needles in her so she understands.
