@RealJournalism There was a (superficially at least) similar experiment in Vancouver recently, that also came up with positive results. However, on closer examination the Vancouver study had selected recipients particularly likely to make good use of the money, and many subjects of the study had simply disappeared. This is in general an area that would benefit from further research, so experiments like the one in Seattle are very helpful.
