RyanHakurei, Let's see if they embrace nuclear and hydro to actually achieve that goal or if they go the Germany route and utterly fail.
olrik, Well, for one we have no coal, which Germany has a lot. Second we have hydro like you said, and hopefully this will help. No opinion on nuclear.
astrionic, You’re saying that as if we weren’t already on 68% hydro power. The 19% nuclear will probably go down since we’re not building any new plants, but I’m sure renewables will be able to fill the gap.
LordR, Nuclear isn't sustainable, especially not new reactors. They are too expensive in comparison to solar and wind. I think it is better to just help the population to install solar panels and batteries, which would actually help the regular person instead of a corporation.
