United Nations: Russia committing #warcrimes in #Ukraine, based on the findings of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine. The Commission established by UN Human Rights Council in March 2022 to investigate, document violations of international human rights & humanitarian law by Russian invaders. The Commission has issued two reports in Sep2022, another in Oct.2023, which provide evidence of the following war crimes committed by Russian authorities in Ukraine:
Indiscriminate attacks with explosive weapons, resulting in deaths, injuries and the destruction & damage of civilian residential buildings, schools, hospitals & playgrounds.
Wilful killing, torture, rape & sexual violence, and the kidnapping of children to the Russian Federation.
Unlawful detention, enforced disappearance, killings of Ukrainians supporting Ukrainian authorities or Ukrainian armed forces.
