richardacarter, For one day only this week, York ground station was active, running two satellite workshops with my MA students. Both were entirely successful, having involved some of the most complex and lengthy prep I've ever done for a single activity. A lot of hard work, time, and energy well rewarded with some great images and curious questions. An actual teaching win!
Passes from NOAA 19, 18, and 15 all shown here, plus double-X antenna

A satellite image of Europe. Britain and the continent can be clearly seen, along with North Africa, and the snow capped mountains of Norway. Some hints of Iceland and Greenland, with white swirling clouds over the Atlantic Ocean.
A satellite image of Europe. This morning show from NOAA 15 ensures the continent is very indistinct, although synthetic outlines are provided here to offer some measure of orientation. These pick out the coast of Greenland, Iceland, Britain, and Europe, with plenty of white, swirling clouds over the Atlantic Ocean.
York ground station. A portable double cross antenna sits on a stand next to a bench with a laptop on it. Lots of lush bushes and trees surround it, along with the lakes of the East campus - a tranquil scene.
