@stvfrnzl It's really sad that Jakob has posted about this. One of the first books on web design I read was by him and I found it very reasonable and focused on best practice (for the 1990's it was helpful). So I was really surprised looking up his website a few years ago to see how much of the content on his site is behind paywalls and is generally designed to sell products and services, not help users improve their UI. He's been out of touch for years unfortunately.

@scopefilter Thanks for sharing your experience! I can imagine that it's odd to hear questionable things from a person you look up to or inspires you. Again, I'm not to familiar with him but this article made some waves in the "scene", or maybe even beyond.
