Huh. I guess I just bought a #Amiga CD32... I sent the guy an offer and next I looked it was marked as "Sold" - never got a response back. Went about my business and then noticed money withdrawn from my account! Apparently he agreed to the price and I was not notified! 🤣🤣
It's a PAL unit, it boots but he tried an audio CD and got no response. He had no CD32 disks to test. Hopefully it is a simple fix. Time to upgrade the daylights out of this girl!
@10MARC CD Laser might be burnt out. About 10 years ago there was someone on eBay selling replacement lasers for really cheap, not sure if he’s still around.
My CD32 played burnt CD-Rs pretty well for a short while, but then stopped reading them, so I bought a replacement laser but haven’t found the time to do the job. Apparently calibration is very finicky. The unit can read pressed discs fine though.
Enjoy your CD32! They’re great little machines. A lot of people upgrade the hell out of them, but they’re still great stock.
