Miyazaki responded to a AI-generated video, which showed sort of a body, crawling on a floor. It reminded him of disabled people and found that disturbing. I really wonder how he would have reacted if the people, who presented the video, showed him a more warm-feeling example.
@spruwel@gerowen to give even more context: the experiment was a genetic algorithm figuring out how to move forward to a certain direction given a fixed set of limbs and joints. it was not an artificial neural network which nowadays "AI" is generally used to refer to by non-tech people.
