@Likewise @bookstodon "Wetlands" by Charlotte Roche comes to mind, and "Bad Behavior" by Mary Gaitskill; there's steam in "The Price of Salt" by Patricia Highsmith and "Maurice" by E.M. Forster, not sure if those are quite erotica.

More contemporary romance, "Love, Theoretically" has some filthy sections and is lovely.

And I do make an effort in my own writing (esp. "The Night of the Storm" and "Dido Reclaimed"), but I admit to writing largely to market rather than to the muse's song.
