Welcome to Cardano! Cardano is a highly secure blockchain written in Haskell. It allows formal verification of code, and easy extensibility through a layered architecture. Cardano’s technology is built from peer-reviewed research at some of the world’s foremost universities. After more than two years of planning and development, we’re delighted to announce that the Cardano blockchain was publicly launched on the 29th September 2017. Cardano’s Ada token was then made available for trading on the 1st October at Bittrex exchange.
