Farmer's markets?
I've been meaning to go to farmer's markets more for produce and to see what's out there, do you know where I can go for a good one? I'm in the Hartford area

JustZ, Coventry and and Lebanon have them weekly if you want to go out to the country a little way.
PoodleDoodle, I found that a lot of Farmers markets are way priced up. They just aren't worth it. I would suggest signing up for a CSA close to you. That way you will be supporting local farmers and you'll get part of the crop each week.
MrGeekman, What does CSA stand for in this context?
HarkMahlberg, I believe it means "crop share agreement".
MrGeekman, Thank you! I had to ask because I’m used to seeing that acronym used in a very different context, where it has a very different meaning.
HarkMahlberg, CT's Department of Agriculture has a pretty thorough map of farmer's markets: https://portal.ct.gov/DOAG/ADaRC/ADaRC/Farmers-Market-Nutrition-Program/Authorized-Redemption-Locations
West Hartford apparently will have one every Sunday until November: https://www.bluebackfarmersmarket.org
kitonthenet, Sick, thanks
kitonthenet, I tried posting this earlier but it didn't show up as a thread, just a "post" so I've made it an "article"
