reminder for everyone running validators to update MEV-boost: github.com/flashbots/mev-boost/releases/tag/v1.6

it’s been a while since 1.5. I don’t see huge changes between 1.5 and 1.6

Thanks for the reminder. I also recently upgraded my CL/EL clients. It’s nice to see that updates are now less frequent. We’re getting into a steady state where solo node maintenance is at most just a matter of once-monthly logging in, applying security upgrades to the OS, and perhaps upgrading the staking stack. Kudos to the dev teams who’ve produced these clients and achieved relative stability less than a year since the merge.

Great idea with the weekly, especially in the beginning.
I'll be on vacation for a while but once I'm back I'll see if I can make the nitter bot work on here as well if that's something you guys want.

Additionally I highly recommend the ethfinance buddy extension: https://github.com/etheralpha/ethfinance-extension
It as a few kbin features as well like automatically sort by newest. It even shows the amount of doots in here. wow.

deny them what they would deny you? I don't know but doing it out of spite would be reason enough even before we try to find a rationale like "I don't want them to exploit my likeness in AI"

I wonder how the api changes will affect redact, and pushshift for that matter... (does redact just use pushshift under the hood?)

I would expect redact to stop working, no? Which is why I made sure to nuke all my posts well before the deadline.

What’s scary is one user reporting seeing their posts reinstated after deletion, not once but twice. Unclear whether it was an intentional move by Reddit to rollback deletions against user wishes, or an unspecified sync issue that retrieved posts from an unsynced server somewhere.

Either way, past the deadline, it won’t be realistic to manually nuke thousands of posts and comments in your history, so get it done before the deadline! And don’t delete your account entirely in case Reddit pulls that post resuscitation trick, or you won’t be able to access them again.

The ratio, in a sense is a way for us ethereum folks to cope with the constant abuse we have endured from btc maxis.

The day the ratio flips is the day we kinda proved that we were 'right' and they were wrong about us. It proves that ethereum is no longer a shitcoin

I for one understand why this sentiment surfaced, but I do agree that at a certain point we shouldn't care anymore

I dgaf about the ratio and tbh it's kind of cringy and silly that ethfinanciers focus on it as much as they do. Bitcoin could go to $1,000,000 and the ratio drop like a rock, ... , and I wouldn't care. I'd be happy for everybody holding bitcoin. What bitcoin does or is doesn't influence why I'm invested in and using Ethereum/ETH.

At this point now, I agree with what you say. I had a different perspective when I started in 2016 though, mostly because of the constant FUD I had to face when talking with militant BTC maxis.

At this point, I think there's nothing much left besides slow adoption that will make Ethereum thrive. It is now a matter of when, not if
