Indie Filmmakers, do you know what the specs are for posting video on different social media platforms?

Because if people aren't sharing your teasers and trailers, it might be because you haven't made it possible.

*Note I am not asking for specs, I"m asking if you have the information you need to succeed.

If you make your trailers & teasers easy to share, more people will do the work of promoting your projects on social media for you.

If you include key art in your press kit/and or on your website, more people can share your work -- and you retain creative control. The harder you make people work to share your stuff, the fewer shares you will get, but also, the more people will crop and alter your work to be compatible with social media, diluting your visual brand.

*You may not care about visual branding and brand consistency. That's your prerogative. If so, you are outside the bounds of this conversation. I'm talking to the people who understand and care.

@ShaulaEvans my unsolicited and uneducated 2c.

If you want people to share your stuff on social media provide it on your site in a format that's easy to share for each social media keeping your creative style, colour etc.

Edit, I think you cover this in your first post. Sorry I jumped in halfway through. I'm going to leave my post up because it makes me look clever.

TL;DR read Shaula's first post.
