The point is that there are 8 billion people on the planet, and no amount of personal responsibility will resolve the problem. Legislation and enforcement are the only way to resolve this issue.
stopping people from fishing. you could take their nets or boats or sabotage them somehow. protest on the dock so they can’t go fishing. I’m sure you can come up with something that’s effective.
A simple idea, but sheds a sense that the producers are the problems.
People need food and fish is a food provided. Scolding consumers as the problem doesn’t address that producers are making up the things we are being blamed for buying?
And the fish that eat those fish, and the sharks that eat those bigger fish, and the algae and plankton bloom that are kept in check by those fish, and the coral that are dependent upon a balanced eco-system, and the land animals that depend on the oxygen and precipitation produced by a healthy ocean… It just keeps on going.
