Same, love me some ESR and because there feels like potential there. I’ll be sad about Ramsdale and Tierney as well, but I don’t see them coming back into the squad now.
Ramsdale and Raya situation reminds me a lot of Emi Martinez and Leno after Bernd’s injury. We all know who ended up being the better keeper long term, but the short term need was more important.
I have a feeling the same will become of Ramsdale, where he will absolutely flourish in 4 years, but obviously won’t do that if he’s sitting on the bench. I’d be happier seeing him stay, but wouldn’t be surprised if he’s starting to say his goodbyes.
