Got word from my landlord that the is a bit high, so I just bought a to place here in my office to see what the usage of the and such is, and if it's high then I'm going to look into making a new with lower wattage computers.

Coming from where the electricity is so cheap it messes a bit with a person's mind and behaviour.

My server seems to take about 300W when booting up and settles at about 150W when all virtual machines are booted up.
I then added my work desktop and the watt meter says the current load is 200W ca. If I use stress to engage all 20 threads on the server that spikes up to 300ẃ.

Am I the odd one out who doesn't think that it is too much?

@axelrafn I'd say it's fine compared to a gaming rig for instance.

Your landlord is simply a cheapskate.

@alda I'm just still on Icelandic power consumption and prices it seems. Had way much going on there without a care in the world.

@axelrafn Yeah. We found out the hard way that keeping that giant OLED TV in the living room running during the day surely affects the power bill.
