Just over a year ago I bought a 5950x on sale and with the help of some spare parts, and some great second hand deals I put together a Proxmox machine and began self hosting some services. 1 year later I have 4 Proxmox nodes; a 5900x system in the Rosewill rackmount case and 2 Beelink mini pc’s....
Dumping info for whoever needs it in the future. I had mine apart and used the opportunity to scan then cooler and measure the positions of the mounting holes. If anybody plans to manufacture their own cooler or make another cooler fit - here’s the measurements you need. Image is calibrated in X and Y.

Got these two servers for free, they are pretty fun and nice to use!

What is the difference between those 2 versions ?...
Edit: new cable fixed it. The otherone wasnt crossover....

I’ve had this lab for a few years. It’s based on some old hardware but it’s rugged and it’s stacked and it’s good to go at a moment’s notice....

Here's my 3D printed mini network rack....
So I have some space on my server rack, but not a lot of money lying around....
Patch panel was second hand, and unfortunately you get what you pay for. Fewer than half the ports are functional. I ordered some premade cat6 and a rj45 through connector patch panel to fix it.
