@shellsharks For me, the power of Reddit is that I can talk to a community of people who all share some interest or life experience. In many of the Lemmy community, there are just no people. Despite everybody being frustrated with API changes, nobody actually wanted to leave.

For example, places like r/Narcolepsy are very valuable because it's such a rare disorder, yet there I can talk to tons of other narcoleptics. The lemmy.world has 3 posts total.

I know it's kind of a self fulfilling prophecy but I don't know a great solution. I have been meaning to check out some of the more active Lemmy instances, so I will check out the guide!
