Abandoned or South West Oklahoma?
It’s like walking their Cinderella City in Denver a few months before it was demolished.

ComradeR, Liminal place.
Cqrd, What city was this in? I grew up in southwest Oklahoma and a lot of it looked like this
spicytuna62, I also grew up in SWOK and I can back up this statement. The whole place is pretty impoverished. Not quite like the southeast, but a lot of small towns that way are really struggling.
BallShapedMan, Duncan.
Cqrd, Oh nice, much more southern Oklahoma than southwestern Oklahoma for sure, but I’ve been there a few times
BallShapedMan, My first time not just passing through just the pan handle. It’s a new experience for me.
photonic_sorcerer, All hail the mighty trash can
Viking_Hippie, I mean, at this point abandoning it is the #1 thing to do in Oklahoma, so…yes?
BallShapedMan, Totally! I drove through a town getting here where every single store in downtown was boarded up and closed. Some were in a mild state of demolishment where it looked like someone decided it wasn’t worth continuing like a decade ago and just left it as rubble.
Viking_Hippie, “A mild state of demolishment” sounds like me most mornings back when I drank 😄
BallShapedMan,
slaacaa, Yes
Honytawk, First time you Americans have seen an abandoned building or something?
yemmly, Nice try, American.
Signtist, Looks like a mall I’d frequent a lot in Grand Forks, ND in college. It always looked run down, but it had really nice little shops in it. Basically a haven for local small businesses that couldn’t afford their own building.
BallShapedMan, The pizza place was an easy 4.8 out of 5. It does not mess around!
