sublime
the unhurried moment of silent dawnCasting shadows of cows
sailing across a lake of grass
Coffee pot burbling on the Coleman
Unplugged stratocaster strumming steam
and mist acrossthe lost highway stretching north and east
through the fresh ash of the great forest
and the endless golden lonely plains belowLemuria is burning
The world is burning
The car is now a homeBut the cows keep sailing
swallows darting across their broad backs
spring flowers at their sidesinto the unhurried moment of silent dawn
