For some reason posts on our instance have recently gotten more downvotes from outside instances than usual and many posts look like this:...

The instance is now over half a year old and so far we’ve experience decent growth and minimal downtime....

I was posting on other instances (lemmy.world) and checked their modlog to make sure I’m not banned or defederated. Know most people here probably just follow Monero news, so it’s fine if it’s better to for me to just make an account on a larger instance....

I made one post, that’s it. I never wanted to mod that community and never agreed to it. It seems like the original mod appointed me somehow and then left?...

I notice that monero.town is not accessible via ipv6.

On the front page of monero.town, sm.ms and catbox.moe are recommended as image hosting services. Unfortunately both are not Tor-friendly, esp. Catbox blocks Tor....

I have been having long load times and a number of APIException errors lately when trying to use an app.

Lemmy.ml is now testing lemmy 0.19.0-rc8 which means that lemmy 0.19 should be released soonish.

For example “3 (1 New)” is understandable: there are 3 comments, of which 1 is new. But I sometimes also see things like “6 (-3 New)”, “5 (-1 New)”, where the number of new comments is negative. Is this some kind of known bug, or is it by design actually meaning something? It’s totally harmless, but weird…...

Title. I had a fantastic experience with a company that accepts monero and wanted to post about it. I am not sure if /c/monero is the correct place for that.

Why did you remove the “How do I start mining monero?” post?...

I have not been back since mid June when i deleted my reddit account. So, i am curious if people have noticed fewer discussions over their since this instance opened, or has there been no effect?

Is that even technically possible?

To be honest, no idea what this entails. I was bullied into updating the instance and the official patchnotes are just all the github changes instead of a proper write-up 😂

Something to think about. It is pointless to interact with any of those posts directly here, so as a result they get no engagement. They’re just links to Reddit, and I feel like they’re just funnelling engagement back there. I can’t help but notice, possibly incorrectly, that activity here sharply dropped as soon as that...

I view this website with Firefox, and the thumbnails and images (eg Monerochan Memes) don’t display because they are webp. I have the “Don’t accept image/webp” add-on active but this makes no difference. Is it possible to configure the website so another inline image format is available?...
