City-owned lot site of illegal dumping

Litter/illegal dumping is one of the top 3 issues affecting Milwaukee. (The other 2 being shootings and reckless driving.)

“It’s kind of like people are realizing that they can kind of get away with it so it seems like people are following the lead of it, they realize they can dump their stuff there. So now it’s kind of accumulating,” said neighbor Mark Choinski.

This is the problem. People think they can get away with stuff, so they keep doing whatever benefits them without regard to their fellow citizens.

This is a city lot, so the city is responsible for cleaning it up. (The cost of which is shared by the taxpayers.) People will dump on private property then the owner gets saddled with the cost of cleanup.
