shalafi,

This is not surprising. And no, no one notices. This is by design.

We should spare our energy being mad at the companies donating. They’re simply working in their best interest. I can’t condemn them for that.

The appalling takeaway is how cheaply our Congressmen are bought and paid for.

Since then, the global health care conglomerate has donated at least $272,000 to 42 of the 147 Republican members of Congress who objected to certifying the election results.

An average of $6,500 each?! That’s pocket change. Fuck me, I’m working on killing off a software product that costs that much on yearly. And no one will give much of a shit because that $6,000 is .01% of our yearly software spend.

seahorse,

I can condemn them for it. Behind every corporate action there are people.

aberrate_junior_beatnik,

I can’t condemn them for that.

Why not? Fuck these companies.
