Habahnow, Haven’t seen the original, but the new one was pretty boring. Jake’s character was sort of interesting, but not enough to make a whole movie about him. I’ll probably try the original one to see if its better.
ours, The original is pure ridiculous fun.
bane_killgrind, The original character is great. Both are on prime right now, but you could probably find a DVD rip off the first one.

bane_killgrind, I also like Jake Gyllenhaal, but this movie missed so many opportunities.

For me, I fully admit that the new Roadhouse isn’t a good movie, however, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
