@tangleofwires oh wow I heard Siouxie's version the other day in something we were watching, I had no idea she did a version. I'm not huge on Iggy's stuff (despite thinking he's a cool overall dude and strangely loving a ton of bands he and the Stooges influenced?) but my parents are big fans of this song so I've heard it a bunch - I pointed it out to my wife. Pretty damn iconic haha
@jake4480@tangleofwires I hadn't really heard any of Iggy's songs until some friends obsessed with the 'Trainspotting' soundtrack played it nonstop at the pub many years back... ;>)
@wendigo@tangleofwires yeah, I forget when my parents mentioned that song to me and played it for me, I wasn't super young, I was in my teens I think, haha yeah that Trainspotting soundtrack. Lust for Life IS a great song. And Bowie wrote it! hahaha. I mean, the Hives are insanely Stooges. So many bands I like 😂
