Tonight's viewing: Last Voyage of the Demeter. I don't do theatres much anymore (my wife much prefers viewing at home) so didn't see this when it was out. Got a copy from our local library & watched it tonight. Enjoyed it, but I was distracted by the presence of the Onion Knight.
Zasia the necromancer is totally badass. When my kid was over I made Urgh the barbarian (he was Ugh the sorcerer 🤣) and first I had started out with Hukk the rogue, all three there on the left of the first pic.
And then Zasia in action in the second pic. She rips. It's such a fun game. I haven't even beaten it 🤣😂🤣 I mostly just like to try out out classes and mess around. I'm sure I'll beat it eventually. No rush.
Goatblood is blasting and I'm done with work, it's time for ramen and Diablo IV
Fred Armisen doing weird/funny music stuff on Fallon is fire EVERY. TIME.

Thank you for your pictorial eloquence.
Keeping in the theme of crypts from last #ThursDeath, this week we focus on the almighty CRYPTWORM.
Yet ANOTHER band with that great sewer sludge sound. It's catchy, too - there's riffs and dynamics, not just all blast beats, growling and rumbling.
Their new album 'Oozing Radioactive Vomition' (great title, right?) comes out next week, and you can hear a preview track (that I can't stop going back to listen to) here:
And hell, ALL of Cryptworm's albums are great (even their DEMO!) and they're all on Bandcamp.
Is it weird that, aside from a few things like false advertising or taxes, it’s totally legal to lie? Luke if you’re a politician, it’s totally ok to flat out lie. That’s kinda weird, no?
A picturebook about Crass have been released. A bit pricey though?
Oh, the simple joy of when a company wants you to pay on their app but the app is shitty and doesn't work
One of my point & click plot ideas is about the staff of a company who unwittingly get involved in a violent mob conflict.
I tried making a storyboard for a possible opening, to get a better idea of the characters. Guess it turned into more of a comic, after all.
It's a single, very tall image. Let's see if this'll work..? Please tell me if you have trouble viewing it, then I'll chop it up and repost it as several smaller pages.
Oh my gosh I just figured it out.
Okay, all you open source evangelist people: your knee-jerk reaction to come at people who are talking about a problem with whatever commercial software they use and suggest Your Favorite Alternatives™ is exactly like saying "why don't you just buy a house?" to someone complaining about their landlord.
EDIT: There's more than one post here. Pick apart the analogy if you will but... beware you'll be proving the point.
Sorry to be stereotypically British but fish and chips tonight mate
We open a page from RPG history and take a closer look at "The Making of Original Dungeons & Dragons: 1970-1976," a new retrospective book coming in 2024. https://dungeonsanddragonsfan.com/the-making-of-original-dungeons-dragons-1970-1976/ #dnd #dnd5e #dungeonsanddragons #TTRPGs

i love realizing when a thing was not made for me and that there is no reason to be upset
If you think auto companies don't make cars as cheap as possible so they break down on purpose even before 10 years time (so you have to buy a new one), you're kidding yourself. A huge machine should last longer than a couple years. But they don't. Because then how could they perpetuate this bullshit cycle
"Would you recommend the new Microsoft Teams to a friend or colleague, if asked?"
My guys. No one is going around asking their friends or colleagues if they would recommend using the new Microsoft Teams. That is not a conversation that normal people have.
Go outside. Touch some grass. Think about the choices you've made in life that took you this moment.
I'm very stressed about my hearing which is affecting my head.
Bloody hearing. Last week my right ear was a bit muffled and I blamed it first on my hearing aid and then on my hearing. It eventually fixed itself after going to the gig.
Then today I get muffling in my left ear. So I think it must be the hearing aids! How can it possibly be anything else? I get very stressed about it and a bit down.
Now it seems to be fixing itself again. I guess I'll wake up tomorrrow and it might be all ok again. But I'm left feeling a bit ill by it all.

I hate that algorithms make people feel that a 3 out of 5 or a 3 out of 4 is a bad rating or review. It's even worse than them making a 4 or 5 star rating fucking worthless.
