Lanfordr,

Same thing is happening in the streaming services space. David Zaslov came in and started pulling completely finished shows and removing content and generally making HBO Max shittier and instead of going "WTF", all the other streamers took his actions as geniusand are doing the same shit. Now they are all shittier services and we have to decide to either leave or be okay with a worse service.

0xD34DF15h,

Am I surprised? No. Elon Musk has set an example and the users have not drawn sufficient consequences from this and punished him or Twitter as a service for it.

CEOs seem to be like cats in some way. Wicked cats, but still: Each of them looks precisely at the one who is brave (or stupid?) enough to do something silly. If it goes well, they'll dare to do it to. Otherwise they'll refrain. Seems as if it's Reddit's turn now, to get their fingers burned. Let's see if they'll get away with it!

Onionizer,

I've come across this interesing article about what's called the 'trust thermocline'

But yeah personally I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they get away with it, a lot of reddit users don't care

Onionizer,

Left that game years ago, looks like things didn't get better xD

iontom,

Claims are that social media networks are turning INTO AI systems and closing up borders. There are backdoor deals taking place right now with LLM providers and social media companies. Weird things lie ahead.
