like a true nazi state, russia wants to get rid of undesirables: criminals and the extremely gullibile (through wagner), minorities, the clueless an debtors (mobiks). you'll find out that mobilization orders weren't taken very seriously in moscow, but were in bashkiria and tuva (at least at the beginning). far east has few jobs available, in one far eastern region like half of population is in inescapable debt. army gives stable if shitty job. you can dodge draft if you know who to pay but if you don't have money, this doesn't work
Not terribly credible. The reddit thread I first saw it on had a translated MoD announcement that only said Wagner were treasonous (but not shoot on sight) and some people arguing that the Russian version looked fake.
I'm making a Lemmy app, and I'm pretty good at convincing media to work even when it's reluctant (and as I'm making the app I want to use, everything should eventually be able to auto play)
Could you break down the specifics for me? Preferably with links and any other details/thoughts you have on hand
So, I was looking at it in Firefox. Whenever I linked to a video that was on a different domain than the one I was viewing the post from, the video wouldn't load. So if I linked to a video hosted by Lemmy.world it would load when viewing the post from lemmy.world but not lemmy.ml. If I linked to a video hosted by Tenor Gifs, it wouldn't load on any of them.
You just have to market it right: play down the "that is America" and play up the underdog fighting for freedom from government PMCs with heavy corporate ties.
