Paganism is nature-centered, but not everyone has an easily accessible, semi-private area to actually practice outside. Also, weather happens. So I'm wondering:
What percentage of your practice happens outdoors?
@Cat_LeFey Mainly scored low because I use optics and delicate electrical equipment in my practice. I do however step outside and place my offerings back into nature after use.
@Malleus I get this, I like to play my instruments in ritual but the strings are too delicate for cold or humid weather, so I can only do it when conditions are perfect. But I guess recycling stuff back into the Earth is all part of the ritual process too, so that totally counts!
@Cat_LeFey I think if I had the space to do more things outside, I would. I've always wanted to attempt a ritual outdoors, but....
Leaving aside weather concerns (because sometimes, the outdoors around here are just not safe at all) and the lack of a private yard space, I live in a fairly conservative area. My neighbors would absolutely not be okay with me conducting anything overly ritualistic in what yard we have.
@quietcatatelier Yeah, I hear this, I live in a deep red area as well, so I have to take my safety into account. Though now that my kids are grown, I feel I can afford to be more brazen.
But a lot of paganism, and witchcraft in particular, is secretive and quiet anyway. So it makes sense to do things unobtrusively, whether you have to or not.
