Good news: gravity doesn't need unification because it's not a fundamental force.

@TruthSandwich - So far the papers I've looked at this are too vague to be convincing to me. The idea is interesting, and somehow appealing to me, but revolutions happen when someone comes up with a theory, someone makes a new prediction using that theory, and someone does an experiment to confirm that prediction. Depending on how much we need to call an idea a "theory", I'm not we're even at the first stage here..

No disagreement here. I think it's entirely fair to describe this idea as speculative.

And I'm skeptical, not just because it's so far from making falsifiable predictions, but also the concentration of buzzwords, including holographic and string.

In any case, thanks for taking a look at it and I hope you found it interesting.

@TruthSandwich - Here's a Wikipedia article with more details on entropic gravity... I should read this to get a better sense of what's been done:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entropic_gravity

There's a lot of words, few equations except a hand-wavy derivation of Newton's law, some criticisms... but I'm mainly curious whether anyone has tried to formulate an actual theory, like with equations and stuff!
