At some point many years ago I did this #furryart thing in Krita. I don't recall if Krita already had #pixelart functionality or if I was just not acquainted with it, but if I'm not mistaken I used grids to manually snap squares, which is why nothing is symmetrical.
This is pretty much #Flowey from #Undertale modified to look like a rabbit, something that I used as a profile picture for a long while.
