You would think he would have come into this with at least a few canned answers to the most likely questions. It isn't as if the concerns people have had been hidden; they were all out in the open and have been for days now. No excuse for him to be a deer in the headlights. He was either ignorant, or arrogant. Neither is forgivable in a CEO.
I mean they had canned answers, just not for anything the users are angry about. He said multiple times that they will be focussing on mod tooling, which they have been saying for 8 years now with very little progress. So even their canned message were hilariously bad.
It's going to be an absolute shitshow, I've already decided to sell my reddit account and delete sync so I'll just be there to see the drama unfold before I quit reddit for good 👍
The funny thing is Spez probably thinks this is good optics like he's proving he's ready to interact with the users, but we all know the entire thing is going to be a fucking peloton spin class in telling everyone to fuck themselves
There’s too much money on the line, so he can’t be backing down. I don’t know for sure of course, but I think it’s just another “Listen, this is why we did the things we did” damage-control AMA. It will be entertaining regardless.
