Writing friends and prolific note takers. What app are you using these days? I have decided that I don’t like Notion for just writing, and I’m looking for something that has Mac and iOS with a great user experience and online sync. Obsidian is not what I’m looking for when it comes to long from writing and quick notes.
@hellerphant hey. 👋 I would have recommended Obsidian as I’m currently making the switch over from Notion. Using iCloud for sync works well. I like being in control of my original files. There are countless ways to link and organize notes, I’m excited to dig into it more. My wife has used it for years and is helping me.
Evernote could work for you! I’d say give it a try - try all the things. Maybe you work isn’t all in one app? Maybe you’re using several apps and then moving work to a master?
@britt@hellerphant talk to me about iCloud syncing. Is this instead of paying for the Obsidian sync service? If so maybe I’ll give it another shot. I like it but it didn’t seem to handle images that well last time I was working in it.
@britt Evernote and Ample Note are battling it out for me right now. The more I think about it, backlinks and spide graphs are cool and all… but do they actually bring anything tangible to my note talking. So far, the answer is no.
