Looking at grpc Java examples and crying. If this is the apis produced by 6 figure salaries I'm badly underpaid.

Looking through grpc.io for the various languages it really shows how lacking Java is when it comes to async work. The examples for Kotlin and C# are so much nicer and easier to read and reason about compared to the inline classes and callbacks in Java.

Being in the process to move to java 11 the green threading work feels very much out of reach when it's released

@patriksvensson yeah, every generated protobuf type use that builder pattern and is extremely verbose
