this is a - this is an aside from something @RickiTarr was talking about but her threads get huge and don't need a billion tangents.
The sound of a banjo means something VERY DIFFERENT to british and american music.
In America of course the banjo is like - appalachia, mountain people, bluegrass, "down home", whatever. It's very RURAL
In Britain the banjo was a massive instrument in music hall music - think "I"m Henry The 8th I Am" which was an old music hall tune... it is classy, old fashioned
