A small square of paper falls to the floor from the library book I’m holding.
Small square letters, written in blue ink, someone’s forgotten list.
Carnations
Duct tape
Gum Drops
SaltI turn the paper over, there’s nothing on the back.
Why would someone need this particular combination of items?
For some reason, I’m thinking something nefarious is involved.
I decide I’m being an idiot, and make the list my new bookmark.
