For me, the trouble really has been figuring out how to do the thing, even though I understand how to do it. I'm at a disadvantage because I never played with my voice as a kid I think. I try, but it hasn't worked.

On the upside, my work mom reminds me that a woman can have a deep voice and it doesn't matter. She's deeper than me in hers...

@akioogaki tbh I never really played with my voice when I was young either, I just knew I didn't like it. If anything societal pressures pushed me towards trying to intentionally deepen my voice before I finally built up the courage to come out so I started even farther back than I might have otherwise
