So one thing I've noticed with my cats, now that they've been with more for 1.5+ years is that they've grown complacent about wet food.

Any portion of food that they can't pick up within 4-6 licks is ABANDONED and they'll only get back to it if they're desperately hungry. I've tried serving their wet food in a single piece, multiple balls, or flattened into the surface. It really depends on the texture and state of the food, i.e. too wet or too lumpy.

This ends up using my finger or a smol spoon to ball up the remainder into single lick portions for them and feeding them by hand. :neocat_sweat:

I know this is encouraging them to get lazy, but I don't want to end up feeding them too many times per day.
