@TwistedFox Depends on the situation really, I've started a campaign in an army boot camp, an encounter on the road and of course the classic Tavern. I know a lot of people don't like the tavern start but I personally don't mind it, it works well. Usually what I do is I have my players pair up before they start the campaign, so going in then you have at least one other PC this has worked well so far.
