Soy curls, marinated, skewered, and grilled.
Soy curls marinated, skewered, and grilled. I used a marinade recipe I've had since childhood that my step mom used for beef. I made the marinade, let it cool a bit, added the soy curls and soaked them for a few hours. Then I squeezed out and saved the excess marinade. Skewered them, brushed on a bit of the leftover marinade and grilled them over a hot charcoal grill till they had the char I wanted. OMG they were awesome!!!!
Marinade recipe:
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 Tablespoons salad oil (any mild oil)
3/4 cup of water
1/2 teaspoon dried/powdered ginger
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
3 Tablespoons honey or maple syrup or agave syrup
1 Tablespoon vinegar
1-1/2 teaspoons celery seeds
Combine all ingredients in pan, bring to boil, remove from heat.
