I grew up during early hip hop and never saw Kanye as an artist. The stuff he’s famous for is so myopic to me that I cannot imagine how he got he even got so famous. He does have a couple of good tunes no doubt but the fact that he was obviously obsessed with being more rich than Jay Z totally ruined his image to me. And now, he’s just “one of the good ones” to whomever will give him praise.
