Guy seemed to forget he was the community manager. Of course you’re going to get sacked when you use your position in the company to tell people to refund and leave a bad review for the place you work for.

Oh yeah, massive props for the guy for what he did. I’m sure he had some idea that he was crossing a line with those comments and made them anyway. But still, he was the community manager and “hey guys, refund this game” surely wasn’t how Sony wanted their community to be managed.

Red Country, Blue City is pretty much the case with every state. The most liberal people I’ve ever met were in Asheville, North Carolina, and I’ve never been surrounded by more MAGA-loving chuds than when I spent a summer in Redding, California.

Oh yeah, I’ve been around the country enough to know that anywhere outside of the city is Red, no matter what state you’re in, but “Redneck” just has a very specific southern connotation to me.

East TN, West(ern) VA (West Virginia, the state, was admitted to the Union as a breakaway from Virginia State in 1863), and West NC didn’t really benefit from slavery like the rest of their states. There were plenty of independence/Pro-Union movements in that region at the time, like The State of Scott.

I think any organization that gets kids outdoors, teaches them social skills, builds self-esteem, and promotes community involvement is one worth praising. Too bad that the BSoA instead focused on hating the gays and raping boys. Maybe, just maybe, a name change is just a sign of some larger restructuring of the organization.
