Are you suggesting that people should not discuss any works of art having to do with satan, and thus not consider or discuss the context around those works of art, unless they were pro-satan artists? Anyhow, this sub is for The Satanic Temple. Have you read the 7 tenets? I think you’ll be amazed at how not evil they are. “One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.” is not something an evil person would say.
This person is truly not worth the effort. They have gotten numerous reasonable replies that they reject with the same thoughtless Christian rhetoric. Satanism has been explained to them, now there is no reason to waste our time further.

To be fair, there is at least a large chapter on empathy in the Bible that the vast majority of Christians seem to skip over. But most of you seem to want to focus on that first book so much.
That was my initial reaction lol, but I am making the pointed effort to be neutral. They probably just don't understand, they seem to think we actually believe in and worship Satan rather than what he represents. I avoid being aggressive so I have the opportunity to be heard, people really don't understand Satanism and if I can enlighten them even a bit on what it really means, I'll try to.
Oh, I didn't know you weren't a Satanist! The Tenets are a basic moral guideline for Satanists but also in general, it's a very short read if you'd like to quickly learn about them. I think you and even many Christians will find these to be very reasonable and good. Unlike other religions, there is no hard and fast rules that you must obey. Just be a good person!
I just wish people took a singular moment to learn what TST Satanism is before jumping down our throats and imagining us as goat sacrificing cultists or something. Satan represents rejection of authoritarianism and tyranny, seeking out knowledge, and justice. Satanists value rationality and basing your beliefs on proven science, fighting for justice, equality, respect, and compassion. For many, it's just politically-active Atheism, as we are nontheistic (we do not believe in the supernatural or any deities). I am an atheist, and a Satanist, TST Satanists are atheist or agnostic. It's often described as "atheism describes what I am not (a believer in a God) and Satanism describes what I am and what I believe and value."

You're forgetting it's an actual recognized religion making real changes. Calling it edgy because you're mad that other people have different views than you, like the kind and typical christian you are, won't change that.

I’m not a satanist. Though I fully support the causes these people are behind. But I have a few questions for you.
So when I was 5 my mom kidnapped me and ran away to Florida with me. We were in church every time those doors were open. Unfortunately all the prayers in the world still didn’t help her get her insulin. I watched her wither and die SLOWLY. I was 8.
Where was god?
After her death. I moved back in with my dad where a neighbor began to sexually abuse me for a few years. My dad made sure we went to church every Sunday. It was my mom’s dying wish.
Where was god? Was I not good enough? Did I not pray hard enough?
I still remember the moment I realized that god doesn’t exist. It was night time and we had a trampoline in the backyard. I was standing next to it looking up at the stars. My breath still smelled like him. I was 10.
So, I may not know much, but I know that your god either doesn’t exist or let those things and more happen. If that’s the case. I want nothing to do with him.
I already know atheism is usually out of blaming God for personal and traumatic experiences, butbthat won’t automatically mean satanism doesn’t follow the devil
It’s the simplest of logic. If I claim to have magic flying powers. Then I jump off a building and fall to my death. You’d say I was lying.
Likewise if people tell me that the god Ive been following is all knowing, all powerful, and compassionate. That all I have to do is be good and pray and he will watch over me.

Organizations are what they do. The church makes big claims. But follows through with none of the supernatural stuff, and very little of the material stuff like donations.
Free will on which end mine or “god’s” end? If you’re saying that “god” has free will to decide whether they help children or not after claiming to be compassionate. Then I have no use for a “god” like that.
If you’re saying that as a child I had free will in the circumstances I listed. Then just like your “god” you are an abhorrent piece of trash and I have no use for you either.

But, what you said still doesn’t touch the issue that we were talking about. Which is, “Why would an all powerful all seeing “god” let his creations suffer?” If he is all powerful then he can keep suffering from happening. If he is all knowing then he does know the suffering is happening. So, if real, he chooses to let that suffering happen. It’s that simple.
If you’re saying that “god” doesn’t intervene because humans have free will. That means that “god” deserves no credit for anything other than creation. In that case worshipping him is the same as worshipping a mom and dad that abandoned you at birth. Which is completely insane.
Also, I’d just like to point out that “god” gave zero shits about “free will” when it came to sodom and Gomorrah. “God gave zero shits about free will when it came to Lot.
