@joel@damon But they are related, even if yes technically .com turning this on doesnt affect WP (non .com) itself. So .com emitting this level of sleaze will have a trickle down reputation-wise. It has already begun.
There's lots of reasons to not want AI to scrape your content (I won't cover, but are an internet search away), at minimum these companies should offer an opt-out before they go on scraping, but apparently it’s scrape-now-then-ask-for-forgiveness/opt-out.
