@davemark I wish Twitter had introduces some sort of user fee years ago, maybe then they could have made the company financially viable and we wouldn't have lost what was once a great resource.
@davemark@peternlewis Well, there was a try that failed - App.net. IMO they were charging users too much, but Twitter could learn from them and from their failure at that time.
Meanwhile... we are still Twitter castaways on the Fediverse islands.

However some part of the old good Twitter vibe has been ruined for me on time of take over that service by "Mr Henry Ford impersonator" and the war next door that I see with my bare eyes (I am based in Poland and go there with humanitarian aid from time to time). I found myself less engaged and posting less than before.
